Alpacas of Shepherd's Pasture is owned and operated by the Oliveira Family. We raise quality, registered huacaya and suri alpacas with known, traceable bloodlines. Our new location is in the Roseburg area on the North Umpqua River. Our herd of breeding alpacas has been carefully selected for their conformation, fiber, color and genetics, in order to have a well-balanced, diversified herd – this care in selection is demonstrated in the cria we offer for sale each year. With a foundation herd of 3 colored females, we now have a beautiful black male suri cria and a gorgeous red suri female that will be hitting the show ring in 2002.
Very recently, our son, Shawn, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl, have joined us in the operation of Alpacas of Shepherd's Pasture. With Shawn's computer skills and Cheryl's eagerness to learn about the herd, Ron and I feel blessed. We look forward to seeing our grandchildren, Zack, Joe, Lydia and Greg, in the show ring in the near future.
